Ashley Shepherd
My name is Ashley Shepherd, and I am a Clinical Social Work Candidate (SWC). I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2022 from the University of Houston.
I have three years of experience in grief and bereavement care, along with nine years in the non-profit field. I specialize in supporting children, teens, young adults, and families as they navigate life’s most challenging experiences, including grief/loss, divorce, and changes in school or career. I am passionate about group therapy, where individuals can connect to share their experiences, gain new perspectives, and build a sense of community.
My goal is to help each individual recognize their strengths and build self-compassion. My approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to growth. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can express themselves freely and explore their emotions. Having the opportunity to collaborate with clients to support their needs is what brings me joy.
